I had to buy a couple of USB Ethernet adapters. I just installed Ubuntu and the installed Speedify. Yes, if you’re on a work VPN you won’t be able to route teams/zoom through Speedify. Overall, it was a bit complicated to set up (mainly edge router because of lack of documentation) but is a massive step up from 1mbps upload I was getting from Sky fibre (I live more than 2 miles from cabinet) and I’m able to use this for work. But it means I get a IP address that isn’t blocked for tv, max performance from Starlink and minimal dropouts on video meetings. It works pretty well and I can see Speedify reacting to the Starlink micro-outages but it’s not 100% rock solid even in redundant mode. The rest of network traffic is routed directly to load balancer with Starlink primary and Vodafone as a failover only. So after realising my internal network wiring and my old load balancer were limited to 100, my current set up is using edge router to route all Ports relating to real-time video conferencing to the MacBook which I’ve setup as a Linux machine (Speedify cli much better and I’ve listed those ports as streaming ports in the config ) - this is directly connected to Starlink and Vodafone and setup in Speedify streaming mode. First thing is that Mac internet sharing is not really up to it but main problem is that all geoservices such as TV rejected the VPN and there are only limited number of pass through services. Next experiment was to use an old MacBook and put my entire network through Speedify. I’ve not seen it go much over 100 whereas Starlink is able to reach 300+ at the moment (though is quite variable). Problem is that whilst Speedify claims to be speedy it takes a big chunk off StarLink. First test was on my own Mac with Speedify using Starlink and Vodafone router. I have spent some time experimenting this setup. Router -> the rest of the devices in your house. Also throw in a USB hub if you don't have enough USB ports. Going wired (versus WiFi) for both connections is best for performance and stability, if your laptop doesn't have multiple Ethernet ports you can buy some cheap USB Ethernet adapters. If you have a spare Windows laptop lying around you can use that to feed your existing router. To set up Connectify Hotspot to use Speedify's bonded internet connection GO TO THIS LINK. You can also share over Ethernet to the WAN port of an existing router and use that to manage the rest of your network. Share your computer's Internet connection as Wi-Fi or through wired Ethernet with any computer, mobile device, gaming console, etc. With Connectify Hotspot, you can transform your PC into a real WiFi hotspot or a wired router. Connectify Hotspot is a virtual router software for your Windows PC or laptop. Your Speedify connection can be shared through Connectify Hotspot. Looking at the bottom of that article there's this bit (emphasis mine):
